hello,
I"m posting this in memory of David you all know him on here as Lightnning Glider.
I"m starting an internet radio station in his memory. If anyone is interested in helping dj or donating, then contact me via private message. I already have two DJ's besides myself. I plan on getting my site up and lisens ASAP.
This Station was started because David and I were going to start a radio station before he died.
I've already gotten the ventrilo server for the station and it holds fifty users. My next goal is to set up the website. I'm also going to make an email address specifically for Manic's Radio Alliance. The idea was David's for the name. I was going to call it either Manic's Madhouse, or The Madhouse.
I've been somewhat interested in radio sense I attended Tennessee School for The Blind, because David had started the radiostation there as well, and David Ashley and Myself ran it for the most part.Becoming a broadcaster hasn't been a life long dream, but I liked the idea and I do enjoy radio broadcasting.I'm as is said doing this in memory of him. I know he was a part of The 44 Rn, and still was I'm not certain for his reasons for wanting us to start one but this is my main reason. I will update this post when I get the rest of this sorteed.
Definitely interested
I didn't know David but i was sorry to hear that he died. I can't be a DJ there because my English music knolage is not good but if you want music for jingles or station IDS let me know. I can compose some for you.
Good luck.
goddamn I knew him but I didn't know he passed away this isn't the first time that someone who was young and really into the internet radio died that I knew
Ladies and gentalmen. This is matt, one of the other dj's on manics radio alliance. We now have our web site. www.manicsradiolliance.com and we now have an ice cast server. We have 3 channels braudcasting. A rock channel with manic as your dj, an urban channel with yours truely and an oldies channel with dj al aka scottish alan. So come on over and check us out. We are still in divelopment stages, but we're getting there slowly but surely. so come on over and tell us what you think. and by the way, the channels do try to stick to one jonra but we will play something that isn't quite in that jonra every now and then. We are all about music variaty so we like to show you new stuff too.
oh and i forgot to mention. We all stream in 96 K mp3 pro, so if you have access to the .mp3 pro plug in, i suggest that you use it. The advantage of using mp3 pro is that we keep the amazing sound quolity, but we can spare band width. Bare in mind, this is running off of a home connection, and manic needs band width too. So yeah. Just thought that i would add that in because i forgot to mention it elier.
this will be the last update today i promiss lol. this is on behalf of Manic. here are some link s that you can follow to get involved with the station. Listento ManicsMadhouse main stream rock/metal/other. or click Listento hear urban/rNb/other or Listento hear oldies/other> or click IceCast server statsto see our average listener peak etc.>We try to offer you the listener, with as much variety as possible. If you prefer to enter the information manually, the hostname is v45.darkstarllc.com, and the port number is 4949> >You can visit The Ventrilo Home Pageto download the latest version of the program. There you can also find instructions on installing and configuring the application. Once you've entered a username, simply close Ventrilo and clickhereto be connected to our server. <span style="font-size: 12px;".
A sugestion.
You should put the MP3 plugin on your site so people that don't have it can download it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will pass that on to manic as soon as he wakes up.
hello,
To whom ever is reading this or is interested, we have two new Dj's, and weill be offering more music genres also, have omeone as well as myself funding this, so will be getting a server that is not ran off my connection! I"m always looking for new staff, and we will be offering to anyone who joins us a legal license for $100.00 per year to broadcast, if you were to do this by yourself, it would cost $500.00 or more, thus keeping license cost down fore everyone and keeping it legal. if you have any questions send mailto:mail.ManicsRadioAlliance.com

I'd be interested...I can do station promos for you.
Hi guys. As you may have noticed, due to technical difficulties, the station has been down for quite a while. The reason is, manics computer took a dive, and as a result, he has been unable to host the station. Hopefully, this problem will be over come soon, thanks to sean aka 502 sluggaz. He will be hosting the server for us, and he has much better band width than we had previously, so the station should run smoother. It isn't up at the moment, but hopefully, we should be returning to your ears shortly. I will keep you posted and i will let you know as soon as we are back. Also, we will be slightly restructuring the station, so it will be in a bit more order than it is currently. I will disclose more information on that on a later date. Thanks for your support and patiants.
Unfortunately, the info in my last post is slightly inaccurate. Because of projects that shawn is undertaking and because of manic's situation, we are unable to get up and running as quickly as we thought. This, how ever, is not the death of manics radio alliance and we are working on getting things sorted as quickly as possible. We opolijise for all of the delays and we are working on it.
I have some good news. We are back up, for a short period. For about 2 weeks from the date of this post, 2 of the 4 manics radio alliance channels are back. Go to the usual places to listen. www.manicsradioalliance.com. Channels 1 and 2 are up and back in business.
THings here at manics radio alliance are looking up. We now have long term hoasting thanks to shawn mayes and we are now back up in a near to perminant basis. Also, soon, we might have a new braudcaster joining the team, but details on that person will be given here when it is comfermed. Stay tuned to this board for further announcements and thank for bearing with us during our down time. We look forward to seeing you all listening again soon.
That's all great...but you're plugging the hell out of the station on here.
Perhaps the station needs a blog.
